The weekend that just past, on that Friday (June 25) me and some family members were sitting outside of Outback Steakhouse waiting for a table when out of no where, a pigeon swoops down and smacks the window right above my Aunt's head. The bird falls and looks as if it broke it's neck. It was gasping for breath with it's neck craned.
My step-mom (who's an emergency Doctor) picked it up and held it's neck up right. After some time (maybe five minutes or so) the bird perked up and was struggling a little to go. We set it down near some bushes that it quickly scurried into. The bird did lose a few feathers during the trauma, but hopefully it's at least alive.
